Donny
Owner/ Lead tech
Owner and lead tech at REAL Automotive & Performance. Donny attended automotive school at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks. He worked at a GM dealer and received his ASE Master Tech certification at 23 years old. He continued working there for 8 years as lead tech. Leaving Alaska in 2007, he moved on from GM and has worked at several independent European and Asian shops as shop foreman and opened Real Performance in 2018. Donny’s goal has always been to open an affordable shop with the highest level of automotive experience. “..taking your car into a dealership or another shop is always a gamble. You can sometimes end up with a good tech working on your vehicle but most of the time it’s a mid level or newer, younger tech who lacks the experience”..
Outside of Real Performance, Donny enjoys building and racing cars, riding dirt bikes and racing Supermoto and Motocross.
Jake
Service Manager
Jake is the Service Manager at Real Automotive and Performance, bringing passion and expertise to our team. He comes from an automotive background as his step-dad owned a shop growing up. Jake worked as a tech, then service writer, then service manager running one of the most successful shop in Colorado Springs. Jake is a Colorado native who has a deep love for racing cars, which perfectly aligns within the automotive industry. Married with two kids, Jake also enjoys a lively household with four dogs and three cats.
Outside of work, he loves shooting, camping, and BBQing, reflecting a zest for adventure and the outdoors. Whether it's providing top-notch service to customers or spending time with family in the beautiful Colorado wilderness, Jake embraces every moment with enthusiasm and dedication.
Liam
Master Technician
After graduating high school, Liam landed a position at a large fabrication shop. There he learned a multitude of skills in fabrication and equipment operation. After multiple years on the job, he decided to take his knowledge and experience and apply it to his passion. After attending Pikes Peak automotive college Liam began a career as an automotive apprentice at Real Performance. Over the years he has gained a great deal of experience repairing a wide variety of European vehicles and owns several himself. In his spare time he is usually fiddling with personal vehicles or enjoying time with family and friends.
Sarah
Service Writer
With a year of experience in the automotive industry, Sarah has established herself as a trusted and knowledgeable Service Writer. Sarah possesses an exceptional ability to communicate complex technical information in a clear and understandable manner, ensuring that every customer feels informed and confident about their service decisions.
Outside of work, Sarah has an immense joy in attending music festivals and raves. The vibrant atmosphere, electrifying music and sense of community at these events create an exhilarating experience. Otherwise Sarah enjoys immersing herself in nature through hiking and camping.
Keegan
Master Technician
With over 10 years of professional automotive experience, Keegan is a leader here at REAL Automotive & Performance. He has a diverse background with experience from Euros, Domestics and Asian vehicles to heavy duty semis. His favorite part of the job is the ever changing vehicles. Outside of the shop he enjoys playing video games and exploring the off road trails Colorado has to offer with his wife.
